Building an Intelligent Campus: RFID-Powered One-Card Management System
	 
In the wave of digitalization and intelligent transformation, campus management systems are undergoing a quiet revolution. From traditional magnetic stripe or barcode cards to the adoption of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, the humble campus card has evolved into a core hub of campus informatization. The system also records transaction data, which can be analyzed by schools and parents to better understand students’ dietary habits and wellness.
In academic settings, RFID facilitates intelligent classroom and laboratory management. Students can access authorized labs with their cards, ensuring safety and traceability for equipment use. For valuable assets such as instruments, electronics, or teaching materials, RFID tags support asset tracking and anti-theft functions, preventing losses.
Beyond convenience, RFID cards serve as critical data nodes within the campus ecosystem. By collecting multidimensional data — including attendance, movement, consumption, and learning behavior — schools can build detailed behavioral profiles to support data-driven decision-making and personalized student services.
For example, the system can analyze library visits, attendance records, and academic engagement to provide insights for tutoring and counseling. Dormitory access and electricity usage data can help identify students’ daily routines and wellbeing. Meanwhile, dining and consumption analytics can assist in menu optimization and resource allocation.

Students can view transaction histories, class schedules, and attendance records in real time — or even remotely report card loss, recharge balances, or unlock dormitory doors. RFID Tags (Cards) – Embedded in student IDs or badges, storing encrypted identity data. Depending on the application, high-frequency (HF) or ultra-high-frequency (UHF) RFID technology is used.
UHF RFID Antenna and RFID Readers – Installed at access points, classrooms, libraries, and cafeterias to capture tag information and transmit it to the server. UHF antennas ensure extended reading distance and stable communication, suitable for large-scale campus environments.
Campus Management Platform – A centralized system handling identity verification, permissions, transactions, and cross-departmental data integration.
